Introduction to LDAP Proxy

This course is designed to introduce your staff to Symlabs LDAP Proxy, how it is configured and managed and how it can be used to solve a variety of common identity infrastructure problems. All Symlabs LDAP Proxy training is customized to ensure that it is specific to your own implementation and may focus on particular details more comprehensively to ensure that your staff are more familiar with how to use the product as it is likely to be deployed on site.

Commonly, our training covers a number of core elements that will help build familiarity with the Symlabs LDAP Proxy and will ensure that your staff are fully capable of performing a variety of functions with a thorough understanding of the implications. These elements include explanations and demonstrations for:

  • The DSGUI configurator and how a configuration instance is presented within the GUI
  • ServerGroup functionality and commonly used features, such as Load Balancing and Failover options
  • Listener configuration and the construction of virtual trees
  • Automatic stages and the use of built-in plugins to resolve common problems and to build complex solutions
  • Working with Remote Access Server to configure and maintain running instances remotely
  • Underlying configuration files and scripts
  • Running the dsproxy engine from the command-line
  • Troubleshooting

If you require our training to cover other topics, more specific to your particular solution, you will need to discuss training options with Symlabs directly to determine the amount of training that your staff will require and to customize it to your particular requirements.
