Antonio Navarro


President and Chief Executive Officer

Antonio Navarro joined Symlabs as a partner in May 2001. He now serves as president and chief executive officer. His responsibilities include setting strategic direction for the company and asserting its leadership in directory infrastructure and identity management software.

 

Mr. Navarro brings with him extensive experience and expertise from Sun Microsystems as well as a previous role as the Internet architect of Vizzavi, the Internet portal collaboration of Vodafone and Vivendi. In his professional service experience, Mr. Navarro was actively involved in the migration, modification and setup of network architectures for portals and Internet services for telecommunications operators, Internet service providers, insurance companies and online banking services. He designed the system architecture for an Internet portal consisting of more than 800 servers, implemented an LDAP directory, designed standard rack-based network components and automatic installation processes.

 

Mr. Navarro has a master's degree in telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and completed his thesis on "Automatically Deallocated Distributed Shared Memory" at the Technical University of Denmark.

 

Sampo Kellomäki


Chief Architect

Sampo Kellomäki is the chief architect of Symlabs Federated Identity Access Manager , Directory Extender 3.0 and co-founder of Symlabs. He is the main driving force behind the creation of Directory Extender 3.0 and the suite of solutions built around it. Prior to founding Symlabs, he held various positions such as chief software engineer, network security administrator, as well as independent consultancy to telcos, financial and academic institutions, OEMs, and to the national newspaper publishing industry.

 

Mr. Kellomäki's extraordinary understanding of network architecture, his experience in system and software development and his passion for innovative, new technologies enabled him to play a critical role in directory provisioning system deployments at several major international telcos.

 

Symlabs' Participation in Liberty Alliance

 

Mr. Kellomäki is actively participating in the Liberty Alliance and is the author of several specifications. His responsibilities include defining engineering requirements relating to security levels, representation of user data, and management of bilateral business relationships between identity providers and service providers.

 

Mr. Kellomäki holds a master's degree from Helsinki University of Technology and is currently working towards his Ph.D.

 

Jeffrey M. Zukowski


Director of Operations / Sales and Marketing

Jeffrey M. Zukowski became a partner with Symlabs in 2005. He has a proven and successful track record as the founder and CEO of Web Design Group, a leading web development firm in Chicago with 150+ clients including American Express, Nike, Dupont, Motorola and General Electric. He successfully sold Web Design Group to a publicly-held company in 2000. He also was recognized by the Chicago Sun Times as "one of the brightest new business leaders in Chicago" and by Crain's Chicago Business Magazine as one of the "Top 30 Entrepreneurs in Chicago". His memberships include Mayor Daley's Technology Council, the Association of Internet Professionals and the Technology Council for the Chamber of Commerce.

 

Mr. Zukowski's operations and revenue generating expertise creates significant growth opportunities for Symlabs within the identity management industry. Mr. Zukowski's responsibilities include management of global operations, developing strategic channel partnerships, creative direction, product marketing, campaign management and helping customers solve challenges in directory and identity management deployments.

 

Mr. Zukowski graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and has recently been elected to the University of Wisconsin's Board of Visitors for notable alumni.
