Identity Management vendor to showcase first deployment-ready implementation of new Liberty mobile messaging specification
Barcelona, Spain. (February 13, 2006) - Symlabs (www.symlabs.com) plans to showcase its first-to-market implementations of Liberty's latest Identity Management specifications at the 3GSM trade show in Barcelona, February 13-16. Symlabs Federated Identity Access Manager Messaging Server, its ready-to-deploy ID-CSM (Liberty ID Content Services Messaging specification) mobile messaging software will be of particular interest to show-goers. It allows an unprecedented level of security to mobile users while at the same time opening the door to a wide array of new products and services from content providers.
ID-CSM is one of a number of specifications developed and promoted by the Liberty Alliance geared toward the enormous mobile telecommunications industry. One of the major benefits of ID-CSM is that it allows a rapidly-growing industry comprised of content providers and aggregators to reach mobile users with their offerings without needing to know the subscriber's telephone number, referred to as 'pseudonymous' identity security. How does this benefit the end user? Among the most obvious benefits is protection from spammers who will be unable to target users without access to identity information via the subscriber's phone number.
Benefits for telecoms, content aggregators and content providers (also known as value added service providers) include:
* Customers feel an overall improvement in service quality, particularly in the areas of privacy and security
* Increased level of customer comfort leads to greater use of provider's services
* Significant reduction in administrative overhead
* Reduced customer turnover
And this is not just a working prototype. Symlabs is well known for being among the first to market with products incorporating novel technologies, particularly in the area of Identity Management . Sampo Kellomäki, chief architect of Symlabs Federated Identity Access Manager, had this to say: "We have worked hard with operators to standardize and bring to market a new identity based messaging product that has a real calling. We are unique in allowing operators to safely offer new content messaging propositions to consumers."
