IBM Tivoli Directory Server

This enterprise identity management software from Tivoli uses Lightweight Directory Access Protocol to provide a trusted identity data infrastructure for authentication. Customers who take advantage of IBM's Tivoli suite of applications to provide a full range of applications for their identity frameworks will more than likely be using the IBM Tivoli Directory Server.

While the IBM Tivoli Directory Server offers a fantastic range of features, many enterprises want to be able to integrate non-Tivoli applications more easily with the backend directory used within their infrastructures. Furthermore, Tivoli users may want better access to data stored in alternate repositories.

Symlabs Virtual Directory Server and LDAP Proxy are both fully capable of integrating with the IBM Tivoli Directory Server and can work with many of the applications within the entire Tivoli suite. By taking advantage of the many services available within these products you can expand the number of applications that can integrate with the Directory Server and can extend the reach of other Tivoli applications into your entire identity infrastructure.

Support for Kerberos using the GSSAPI framework built into Symlabs Virtual Directory Server, allows the product to properly integrate with Tivoli Directory Server's authentication framework.
