| Enhanced Environment For Network Applications
Symlabs ID-Messaging Server is the component of Symlabs Federated Identity Suite that delivers a complete, ready-to-deploy Web Services Provider which offers full support of Liberty Identity Web Service for Messaging (ID-SIS-CSM) to applications.
Many mobile network services are delivered by third party applications that share only a weak trust relationship with the network operator. These ap plications traditionally require a subscriber phone number in order to au thorize access to their service, but sharing subscriber phone number information with weakly trusted applications creates the potential for abuse. The solution to this is provided by Liberty ID-SIS-CSM, which adds identity-based invocations and addressing to MM7 protocols. Symlabs ID-Messaging Server enables an entirely new operational model in which the service providers know their subscribers only as pseudonyms, providing the capability to prevent spam, identity theft, and fraud.
Industry Standards Ensure Secure Operation
Symlabs ID-Messaging Server utilizes Liberty ID-SIS Web Service for Messaging coupled with standard MM7 messages for communication with mobile phone users in the Liberty-enabled environment. Mobile Originated Relay (MO) allows mobile users to send messages to value added service providers, while Mobile Terminated Relay (MT) lets Liberty Web Services Clients send messages to mobile users. An MO-MT round trip is used to request content or a service and have it delivered in the response, and an MT-MO round trip serves the function of requesting a user to interact with the application, for example asking for a confirmation and receiving a reply.
Liberty ID-Web Services Framework (ID-WSF 2.0) specifications for Discovery Sevice and Authentication Service ensure the secure exchange of identity information, and Interaction Redirect supports the validation of user consent to share identity information. Symlabs ID-Messaging Server is also secure and easy to manage thanks to a web-based, Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled graphical user interface (GUI). |
