Symlabs Virtual Directory Server

Symlabs Virtual Directory Server leads the industry in performance. It is the most powerful and flexible software component you can add to improve the operation and administration of your enterprise directory services.
Symlabs Virtual Directory Server is a middleware application that abstracts back-end data from client applications, giving you the ability to:
- create virtual unified views of data stored within heterogeneous back-end repositories
- implement a single granular security policy for all back-end repositories
- improve overall performance through the use of load-balancing and search caching
- increase availability through health-checking and failover mechanisms
- easily deploy customized scripts based on the content of requests and responses moving between clients and backend repositories
"... a virtual directory is the building block, or foundation, you should be looking at for your next identity management project."
- Dave Kearns, Network World
Symlabs Virtual Directory Server makes it possible to quickly modify the presentation of data on the fly, so you can easily integrate new applications into your existing identity infrastructure without any requirement to alter directory information - your data remains in its original place and format. The software has been ported to, and optimized for, all major platforms, allowing it to run in environments where a variety of operating systems may be used. Configurations are platform independent and can be managed remotely either using a Java based GUI, or through a web-based front-end.
"Symlabs' product was more powerful and easier to use than the other vendor products"
- Nick Hilhorst, Fortis
Symlabs Virtual Directory Server delivers blazing speed, extraordinary data security, and maximum ease-of-use. Its unique staged architecture makes configuration simple while retaining versatility and flexibility, allowing it to be customized for a wide range of implementations. This lets companies easily adapt to changing requirements and overcome common problems when deploying virtual directory and identity management applications, resulting in smoother, faster project implementations than would be possible using any other product.
